The Magical Week of Thanksgiving has now come to a close.
We even got Bry and GareBear out of the apartment to go to the Upper West Side to see the diner that was featured in Seinfeld for nine seasons.
In Seinfeld the diner is named "Monk's", but in reality it's actually "Tom's"
Bryant made sure to order Jerry's favorite, an egg white omelet.

Ok, this time Josie was dressed first. But my ears were cold, so I don't even care how matchy-matchy we are. |
Obviously it looks nothing like the interior on the show.
After breakfast the girls and boys split up as usual.
The boys went to Chinatown. (Lame)
The girls decided to go see Yankee Stadium. (Not-Lame)

On our lengthy walk to the subway we found a cute little Farmer's Market
You'd think the ride from the Upper West Side to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx would be quick.
No, no...you are mistaken.
Forty-five minutes later, we made it the 3.2 miles.
Obviously there was a huge rush to head uptown to the Bronx:

After we walked around the exterior for a bit, we were ready to immediately hop on the subway again. The area where the stadium is sketchy...
Back in Manhattan along the Upper East Side we stumbled upon Sprinkles Cupcakes!
I was super excited because my homie, Paige(below), always raved about them.

The pumpkin spice was ah-mazing...
Toward the end of the night we made a quick stop at the Ed Sullivan Theatre
Then...of course...Veniero's
Mmmmm...
Sunday morning arrived and that meant Jumpin' J Jaguar Jalusalo had to fly back to Utah. (The fool had the bright idea of booking a 7:00 AM flight out of JFK.) When she first arrived, she took a taxi to my apartment but that cost $60 so she decided to take the subway this time at a whopping $2.50.
She also conned me into going with her since she was still a rookie subway rider.
So we left the apartment at 3:45 AM, walked to the Lorimer stop, and hopped on the subway for the hour & 20 min ride to JFK.
I let her hop on the AirTrain by herself and I headed back home by my lonesome.
(By the way, the subway riders are EXTRA weird in the early morning hours. Most of the people we saw were just heading home from the local bars and they felt the need to strike up a conversation with us. Don't they know it's not proper subway etiquette to make conversation?!)
So now I'm super sad because my little exploring companion is gone. :(
I'm willing to take replacements at anytime!
So long as we're friends and I like you.
