The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

I have a new obsession with attending show tapings.
Reasons?
1. It's Free
2. It's cool to actually be in the audience of a show that you have either grown up watching (David Letterman) or have watched consistently for the last few years (Colbert Report & Daily Show)

I've had a lot of people ask me how we get tickets to all these shows, and all you have to do is go to the show's website and click on their 'Tickets' link and it will let you know if any are currently available. They generally book the shows two months in advance, so if you have a specific date in mind, make sure to plan accordingly.

For The Daily Show, we got our ticket reservation back in November. The day of the show, you have to show up by 2:30 PM to get your numbered ticket.
Bryant got in line at 1:15 PM and there were at least 100 people in front of him. Once 2:30 PM rolled around they finally started handing out our numbered tickets...which told us to be back in line at 4:30...
Having lots of time to kill, we wandered along 11th Avenue and found refuge from the FREEZING COLD at a yummy Italian restaurant

We arrived back at 4:30 PM, only to wait in line again. Normally they would have made us wait outside longer, but since it was so cold they took pity on us and let us sit in the studio a lot earlier than usual. But first we had to make it past security...

Once we were seated inside the awesome studio, they basically threaten to murder a litter of puppies if anyone dares to take pictures or record anything without their consent.
...then 5 minutes later they said, "We are now going to allow you to take pictures FROM YOUR SEATS for 10 minutes. After that, PHONES MUST BE TURNED OFF!"
So...We took some pictures!

(Which they weren't that night. Boo.)
