Not-So-Friendly Competition

Bryant, his brother Garrett, and I loooove award shows.
OK, really we just love competition.
And we take these things seriously:
Spreadsheets? Who does that?
Anyway, I'd just like to point out that Garrett is a dirty rotten CHEATER!
It always seems to go that Garrett dominates with the girly award shows and I always win the sports categories. Examples: Last year I completely dominated the March Madness brackets. This winter we picked what college football teams would win their bowl games and again, I dominated.
But recently during the Golden Globes Garrett managed to beat me by one rotten pick. (Stupid "Descendants" ruined everything for me.)

And now with the Oscars the final scores were as follows:
Garrett:18  Alexis: 13   Bryant:9  Cami:7

***I'll have everyone know that Garrett is notorious for researching each catagory and Bryant even went as far as looking up the Vegas Odds for the categories and only saw 3 of them before his wife caught him in the act. CHEATERS!!***

The only highlight of the show for me was when Angelina Jolie looked like a complete idiot when she posed over and over and over on the red carpet, then when she was presenting an award she stopped, realized she forgot to do her "leg-pop" so she awkwardly stuck it out.  The crowd laughed uncomfortably, she giggled a little, and then the people who won the award she presented immediately made fun of her while she was still on stage:

I wonder if her hip hurt at the end of the night?

Europe Here We Come!

Bryant and I officially booked our airfare for EUROPE!

We originally wanted to go when it's warmer there, but with school, work, and the blasted Summer Olympics being held in London this year, we decided to go April 24-May 2.

Stop #1:
Dublin, Ireland
#2:
Belfast, Northern Ireland
#3:
Liverpool, U.K.

The Beatles orignated from Liverpool, so this is a highly concentrated "Beatles trip"

#4:
London
 #5:
Paris
 #6:
Normandy, France (D-Day Beaches)

Hair Blues

I swear every post I make is regarding hair, holidays, or my animals. (My apologies)

I'm in another "bleh" hair mood. Mostly because my color is starting to grow out and I need to color it soon anyway.

Recently I got the cojones to try an official ombre.
Needless to say, it was quite drastic. It took me a few weeks to get used to it and I could tell by the reaction of a lot of friends/family it was definitely shocking.
Mission accomplished??

Currently sporting this hot mess
I was starting to feel like this...

I know I'm definitely done with the ombre. I'm pretty tired of it and a huuuge part of me just wants my hair color to be normal again.
What's normal, you ask?

Not this...
This is probably the blondest I've ever been
 Or this...
I would say this is red? Who knows...
 But THIS!
And here is the standard brown I've always had.
Another thing I miss is having bangs. I have some really sweet coworkers who tell me to chill out and not chop my grown out bangs, but it's reallllllllly tempting.

Half Marathon?! Bleh.

I hate running.
A LOT.
But I really need something to kick my butt into shape and my sweet, wonderful friend Brandi suggested I do the Utah Valley Marathon with her in June.
Half was all she could get out of me.

So here is my commitment to actually start training and DO IT!!

Ombré

I finally go the guts to go ahead and have my sister color my hair a little more...dramatic.
The style is know as Ombré, or "melting".
Here was my inspiration:

And here is a pretty crappy picture of how mine turned out:

I promise it looks a lot better in person.

Thoughts?

Griswold Style Christmas

Our Christmas decorations are finally hung!
(Hallelujah!)

Yes, ESPN is on our TV. Also, please notice the mismatch stockings. Ours are maroon, Willis & Edgar's have paws and bones on theirs.

All that work wore Willis out

Last year I went a little crazy and bought a bunch of lights to hang on our house, but we didn't have a ladder so...yeah. No lights.
This year I made Bryant go beg our neighbors to borrow theirs.

This was my inspiration:

May I present...
"I dedicate this house...To the Jensen Family Christmas!"

**Incase anyone was curious, Bryant held the ladder while I did all the hanging. Also, as you look at the lights across the top of the garage, just know that I had to crawl up the roof, army-crawl while straddling the peak WHILE holding a strand of lights. And we did a lot of the light hanging at night after I got off work. Impressed yet? You should be.**

Merry Christmas!!

Incase you wanted to see my Christmas post last year...

Mmm...Fall!

I love fall for many reasons!

1. My Anniversary/Birthday Hybrid rolls around
2. Sweater Weather
3. College Football=Happy Bryant (and I really love watching the games too)
4. PUMPKIN!!!

My sister Reesa was the first person to suggest getting a Pumpkin-Oreo shake from Big J's, and I thought it sounded disgusting...until I actually tried it.
Now I loooove pumpkin flavored anything, specifically:

Starbucks Pumpkin Steamer
Pumpkin flavoring, hot milk, whipped cream

And more recently since moving to Utah County I have discovered
Red Mango Pumpkin Spice
Ahh. Divine!!
Add a few white yogurt chips and you're set!

Stay away from Farr's Pumpkin Ice Cream. It's pretty nasty.

And I would like to denounce two of my coworkers, Ashley & Kelsey, for being enablers and making Starbucks/Red Mango runs with me.
