Mr. Bryant Jensen, Esquire

Bryant passed the Uniform Bar Exam!
WOOOOO!!!!
He's officially a lawyer!
(let the lawyer jokes commence)

After months and months of non-stop studying...
(HA HA! Yeah right.)
He was supposed to start studying after he graduated in April.
When did he start studying?
JULY 1ST.
When was the exam?
JULY 30 & 31ST.
I was freaking OUT people! I would constantly badger him about studying, but all he wanted to do was golf. (All the time.)
And he did golf. ALL.THE.TIME.
(He would argue this was not the case and that he studied here and there, but don't buy it.)

So ANYWAY...
The great thing about the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) is the portability of your score to other states that use the same exam so you don't have to take it again if you move. States that accept it are:
Alabama
Arizona
Colorado
Idaho
Minnesota
Missouri
Montana
Nebraska
New Hampshire
North Dakota
Utah
Washington
Wyoming

So now when we move to North Dakota Bryant will be set!

We flew back to Utah on October 19th and hung out with our families over the weekend.
The swearing in ceremony was on Tuesday the 22nd at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake.
Below is when they all stood and took their oath.
...and then the audience immediately looked like the Nokia phone commercial

 It was a gorgeous day!
The whole Jensen fam! (Minus GareBear)
My cute little momma came along for the ceremony.
(She also brought lots of treats for us to snack on.)
Afterwards we went and pigged out at The Cheesecake Factory at City Creek before Bryant and I had to catch our flight at 5:15 PM.

SUPER proud of my lawyer!
(And very grateful that he only has a few more months left of schooling until he's done FOREVER!)
((Unless he weasels his way into a Ph.D))

Our First Official Visitor!

Bry and I love Dave & Tammy Hoyt.
Not only are they super cool people, but they are also fellow
Miami Hurricane and Beatles Fanatics!
(What's not to love about them?)
We were super excited when Tammy wanted to extend her stay in NYC after her work conference ended in New Jersey.
The 4 of us at the Ringo Starr concert.
She arrived at our place in Brooklyn Friday evening, then the three of us took the subway down to see the Brooklyn Bridge.
(Something Bry and I hadn't done yet!)

After our walk to and from the bridge, we felt that we had earned a dinner at delicious Shake Shack in Brooklyn.
Mmm...Shake Shack.

Saturday morning we took a lengthy journey to visit The Cloisters Museum in what is basically The Bronx.
(190th Street...to give you some reference: Times Square is on 42nd Street)
But let me tell you- it was SO beautiful.
The weather was perfect and it was actually quiet!
These first few pictures are on the walking path from the subway stop to the actual museum.

 The Main Entrance
Once inside (after being conned into paying full admission to get in---later I learned you can pay WHATEVER YOU WANT, so long as you pay something. The $40 we spent will help alleviate the guilt I would have felt on future visits when I pay $1.) you can walk around the grounds and look at all of the pieced together ruins.

I loved the details on all of the pillars

The highlight of the entire museum for myself, as well as for most people that visit The Cloisters are "The Unicorn Tapestries".
(Learn about them here.

(This book reminded me of the opening of Sleeping Beauty)

SO glad Tammy suggested The Cloisters!

After The Cloisters, we headed back to midtown Manhattan where Tammy and I went and saw
"The Lion King" on Broadway!
After the show (which was amazing) we had a little bit of time to kill before Bryant met up with us again at Junior's Cheesecake.
Again, we went with one of Tammy's suggestions of going to check out
The New York Public Library

The entire building was SO beautiful!

A copy of the Gutenberg Bible
Printed in 1455, this was the first copy to come to the United States, in 1847.

After being forced to leave the library since it was closing time, we walked to Rockefeller Plaza.
It kills me the ice skating rink was already out on October 12th.
That's like people turning on their Christmas lights before Thanksgiving.
UNACCEPTABLE.
After Rockefeller Plaza we met up with Bryant at Junior's Cheesecake at Times Square.
Delicious and amazing as always!

Bry ditched us again so Tammy and I went to Dylan's Candy Bar.

Bry asked me to get him some candy while we were there. I ended up getting a bag full of sour candy from the bulk candy area--all for myself.
(Sorry Bry)

Our last stop was for some dessert at Veniero's.
My cousin and his wife introduced us to this piece of heaven a little while ago.
They have absolutely amazing desserts. And they've been around for 119 years.
And if you get something to go they box it up and tie it with string.
Bry is obsessed with the Chocolate Strawberry Banana Shortcake:

We had such a great time with Tammy! (Thanks for coming!)

Next visitors...
Garrett & Josie for Thanksgiving Week.
(Wish us luck)
