The Office(s)

Sooo...decorating our house has been quite the stressful project. Bryant has been bugging me to help him get his office finished so he doesn't have to worry about it now that he's a full time law school student (YAY!). So this little post is to show you all of our hard work in putting our offices together!

This is Bryant's office. It's located in the basement, in case you're curious. That stupid desk you see in the corner...yeah, it took us over a week to assemble. (I loath the piece of crap!)

This is Bry's "library". He organized his books alphabetically, grouped by subject. (He cracks me up)

I (single handedly) hung all his diplomas for him. I have the smartest guy around! :)

Bry was dead set on having a "reading chair". We argued for 3 days over this chair. You can see who won...

This side of the room still needs some work. (Don't judge!)
He loves the French doors. Mainly because he can lock Edgar and me out. :(
This is MY office! (Woo!) I do have an office chair, it just happens to be sitting in our garage in Logan. Eventually I'll bring it down to Springville...I hope.

I would describe my office decorations as being all the crap I've collected in my 21 (almost 22!) years of existence. That would include: my parents old computer desk, my cedar chest I got my senior year for Christmas, my old bookshelf that's barely holding together, LOTS of picture frames with some pretty funny pictures in them, old apartment decorations from my single days...etc.

Yeah...I've still got work to do. (Don't judge!)

As you can see, lots of random stuff.

Hopefully I'll get our room put together soon. I'll be sure to keep posting as I finish each room. :)

Just for you, Tara!

So the last few weeks I've been pestered by a certain someone to update my blog....*ahem*....(Tara Ashcroft Crane!!!) This is dedicated to you my dear!

Bryant and I officially moved to our new home in Springville on August 9th. I absolutely LOVE my house! The only problem is trying to make it "cute". Things aren't going so smoothly. So all I'm going to post are pictures of our Theatre Room.

This is the view looking in from the family room. The door in the corner leads to a closet where all the media equipment is being stored.

This is the other half of the room. You'll notice all the random movie posters we picked out. (Obviously "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "The Dark Knight" are in the same genre...right?)

Yeah...this wall is kind of lame, I know. The door leads back to the family room.

This is the back of the room. *A huuuuge thanks goes to Wayne and Laurel for letting us have their old couch!* In case you can't read the posters they're Seinfeld, Glee, and Gone With The Wind.

The front. You can see "DJ Roomba" in the corner. :)

"Entourage" is on the right. The door on the right is a cold storage room.

We ordered DirecTV for the house and when the technician came to install it he asked if I wanted it to play through the theatre room. (Something I hadn't even thought of) This is DEFINITELY the highlight of the house for Bryant.

So that's all I've got for a bit. I swear I'll post again after my house starts to look "cute".

:)

3 days and counting!

Let the countdown begin! Only 3 more days until we move to Springville! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Bryant...let's just say he's not as pumped as I am.

Anyway, I just thought I'd show what we are super-duper lucky to be able to use to move. Emily (one of my coworkers at Stevens-Henager) and her husband Rad were nice enough to let us borrow their 6 snowmobile capacity trailer! (Yes, it's as huuuuge as it sounds!)

Incase you care to know the measurements: 35 feet from front to back, 8 feet wide, and its 6 feet tall in the inside

This is the back of the trailer

This is the inside view

As you can see, it engulfs our poor little driveway!

Technically speaking, we can't be overlapping on the sidewalk, so we obviously had to get as close as we possibly could :)

When we were trying to back it in, the plum tree that hung over the driveway presented a problem. Brock solved it by sawing off one of the branches. (Sorry Wayne!)

Isn't it beautiful?

Thanks again Em! You're the best!

Now comes the fun part of loading it with all of our worldly possessions! (Yay!) Wish us luck!
